The first regularly scheduled Centered Recovery Meeting started on Monday, June 4th. By its second week there were over a dozen people in attendance, including people currently in treatment, those who have completed treatment, family members of people in recovery and advocates.
This attendance demonstrates the need for this type of support in the area, which was recognized by the local North Fulton Neighbor newspaper.
The meeting on the 11th was very well received and those in attendance indicated a desire to continue participating and some would like to start meetings in other towns as well. We look forward to sharing this new free recovery resource with more people over time and hope that participants feel welcomed and strengthened.
